WoW Item Upgrades
More commonly referred to as "upping"--are items and enchantments that can be put on weapons and armor pieces and increase their effectiveness. These upgrade components add a certain number of points to a level gauge for the item, with their costs increasing with their rarity.
The melee PvP scene is extremely reliant on a perfectly rolled version of the armor for its ability to reduce damage from weapons.
Type-restricted upgrades
Upgrades are a vital part of the equipment crafting process. They can boost the stats of an item, make it stronger or weaker and even provide an additional benefit. They can also alter the appearance of the item. While some upgrades are universal, others are governed by specific rules when applied to weapons or armor. The wrong upgrade can ruin an item that is otherwise fantastic, and even make it useless.
The general rule is that you can only upgrade a piece of equipment up to the level of the most advanced gear within its category. You can only upgrade helms to the highest level. Weapons can be upgraded up to the equivalent of the sword. However, this doesn't boost the weapon's damage output and could decrease its value in trade.
To upgrade an item you must spend flightstones and crests. The amount you pay for each depends on the item's level and slot. Upgrades to swords, for instance, will cost more flightstones than an upgrade to the Cloak. You can also avail discounts on the amount of flightstones and crests needed to upgrade an item.
The diamond-shaped indicator on an item gets filled up when it's upgraded. Each step raises Tier level by one-third. Tier 3 is the highest level. It may take different upgrades to get to this level, based on the item. It is important to remember that any procedure that could mount a disk should not be performed during the process of upgrading. In addition, you must ensure that the upgraded disk is not being used as a system disk.
Enchantment lets you change white or Common items to rare or blue items. It can be done at Eleanor's enchantment shop located in the Capital District. This method does not add rune or gem slots to the equipment. However, it does change its dimensions. It increases the size of equipment by the size of a creature that is two categories smaller, for example that a Blaster Pistol is deemed Small, whereas an Stormtrooper Armor is Medium.
Universal upgrades
Universal upgrades are upgrades which can be applied to any type of equipment. This includes weapons, armor and trinkets. The upgrade components are typically random drops, but they can also be gathered by completing Side Quests. Universal upgrades can be temporary or permanent, and may overlap with Power Ups. They may be linear or branching.
Universal Upgrades begin when "internal technology" can give sentient beings new capabilities that are extremely unlikely to develop in natural ways. Implants and prostheses are both examples of internal technology. This type of improvement is not the same as medical internal technology, which aims to restore the capabilities of nature. It is the beginning of the process that will alter civilizations completely. The universal upgrade is a complicated process that can take a long time to complete. However the process is divided into two classes: full success and partial failure.
This is similar to ways that resort upgrades are implemented at Disney or Universal. In the case WDW it is typically due to operational requirements like availability of rooms or overbooking. In the case of Universal this could mean to transfer guests from one resort to another that is open. This is not intended to be a sarcastic comment however, in the current climate it could be difficult to avoid.
Universal upgrades can be used on any kind of equipment. In addition, they can be applied to a variety of items at a time. They are therefore more flexible than any other upgrade type. However, this flexibility can cause issues when upgrading items within the specific gear path because it increases the level of each item in all the pieces within that path.
Before performing an upgrade, it's important to stop the PowerShell Universal service and delete the application files that are already in use. Then, you can install new files by using the GetChildItem-Recurse command, or Unblock-File. It is also recommended to perform a basic checks against your PSU server to ensure that it is operating correctly.
Jewels
Jewels can be incorporated into weapons, armor or other accessories. The reagents and gems that are used to make them can provide different stat bonuses as well as secondary effect. They can be found in Golden Chests, Rift Incursions as well as V Blood Carriers and other regular enemies, or can be purchased from a Master Craftsman in exchange for gold or karma. Jewels can be crafted using a jewelry table by using five of the same reagent type and 1 gem to make an item with a higher or lower tier. This process is similar to upgrading a stone on a gemcrafting desk.
Jewel levels are determined by the number of modifiers that they possess. Jewels with higher tiers have more modifiers than lower-tier jewels. The primary effect of a jewel is determined by the tier it is, while the secondary effect is randomly generated players can use luck potions to increase the probability of obtaining better secondary effects.
Jewels can be incorporated into items that have sockets that match as with other upgrade components. A Garnet Jewel and a Garnet Stone both increase the strength of an item but a Garnet Jewel also boosts a player's ability to strike with force. Jewels can be found in all armor, weapon and accessory slots. They also work with exotic trinkets or lesser rarity trinkets that need a slot.

Gems are a DM-specific mechanism that allows items to feel special to their owners. By offering a variety of different upgrade paths jewels let players modify their equipment and choose the combination that best suits their needs. They can also upgrade their existing equipment with new jewels in the event that the original set of a certain kind isn't working anymore.
Requirements
WoW's item upgrade system allows players to increase the levels of their weapons, set pieces of equipment and trinkets over their current level of item from specific Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor sources. These upgrades boost the stats of items and some even have special effects. (For example, Dolphin's grace gives swimmers a dolphin-like grace). These upgrades can be obtained by upgrading items or salvaging them. Different items drop various upgrade components.
The process of upgrading may be a bit complex however, it's a simple process. Firstly, the player selects the item they wish to upgrade and then click on the Upgrade button. upgrade item will open with the different upgrades available for this item. This window will display the upgrade level, any type of upgrade bonus (such as Tech Points or Quality Chance) as well as the cost of the upgrade. The upgrade type bonus will be displayed below the bar which shows the upgrade level.
The user will have to bring the item to the upgrader, who will then explain the process of upgrading the item. The player must then provide the correct currency and, if required additional materials. These requirements are based on the level of manufacture and the weapon's requirements are typically higher requirements than armor.
Many upgrade recipes contain the list of acceptable material in addition to the necessary components. This list shows what other upgrade components are available on the item, as well as a flag that indicates whether the item is guaranteed to boost or extra effect. This is crucial because the value of an upgrade could vary greatly depending on its 'extras. For instance, perfectly rolled gear can be worth much more than the unupgraded version.
The list of upgrades that require valorstones or crests will be listed separately below the main list. The crests and valorstones needed are determined by the level of the item and weapon upgrades needing the most Valorstones.
